Thaw & Saw Forestry Weekend February 8-9, 2020
Thaw and Saw is a combined winter comfort and safety course that will be led by Taylor Moorefield and Raleigh Avery. Taylor will teach layering, best materials for clothes, tips/tricks, winter fire building, and shelter ideas. Raleigh will be teaching chainsaw use/safety and forestry skills like evaluating and felling trees, dealing with storm damage and more. We’ll teach the attendees how to be comfy and safe outdoors working in the cold, then apply the skills by cutting up the recent downed trees at TI and processing them onsite.
