We have our own special beauty in the winter months!
My husband and I took the Winter Survival Skills Workshop with Taylor and it was amazing!
Taylor is a great instructor! His teacher style is just right for this type of workshop. He taught us skills that we practiced right away, welcomed all of our questions, and went through the lessons at a comfortable pace. He is extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate that he doesn't just teach these skills, he is actually experienced in using them. The real test of whether or not we learned from Taylor came when we built our shelter. We constructed a waterproof shelter that successfully kept out the wind and rain we got that night! And yes, we slept in the shelter, cut firewood from downed trees, and built our own fire to keep warm through the night!
But the thing that was truly special about the whole experience were all of the people who helped out behind the scenes. We received a warm welcome from everyone we met, and wow, they can cook! The food that they prepared without any modern conveniences was so good! I highly recommend signing up for this workshop - they get 5 stars from me!
