Wild wreath & Garland design & construction

November 28-29

Let’s create something beautiful together…

Join us as we usher in the Holiday Season and create our own “Wild Wreath & Garland”. We will forage the forests and fields of Turtle Island, enjoying the natural beauty while we harvest greens and branches to be used in our own unique Holiday creation. Meanwhile, you will begin to smell the wonderful aroma of wood smoke as a delicious lunch will be simmering on our wood fired stoves, along with hot spiced cider and cowboy coffee to keep us warm as we begin our creations. What better way to begin the magical season?

This weekend at Turtle Island Preserve will be magical, filled with holiday wreath and garland making–crafted with wild and aromatic evergreens, twigs, and berries ethically and respectfully foraged in the Southern Appalachians and our very own Turtle Island forests. Participants will learn various ways  to make full and wild evergreen decor for the holidays: Saturday will be for wreath making and Sunday will be for garland making. Each participant will take home their very own handcrafted wreaths/garlands ready to deck the halls!

Meet Lauren & Geoffrey

Wild Herbs & Co. is a botanical farmstead and mercantile located in southwest Georgia whose mission is to draw us closer to the earth and its natural rhythms. What began as a couple of foraged offerings has now blossomed into a small business comprising a small flower and herb garden/butterfly sanctuary where we source much of our medicinal herbal products as well as cut flowers for our custom floral design services, standout workshops for self-sufficiency such as foraging/identification walks for edible and medicinal plants, herb gardening, sourdough for beginners, holistic formulas, and even cowboy hat design and floral arranging! We love to provide these services to our community and bioregion, with a deep love for the earth that holds us, a deep respect for the work our hands can do, and a knowing that the heart is enriched through these actions. We have taught hundreds of folks at this point and can’t wait for more opportunities to share our knowledge and passion.
