Eustace Conway is a unique naturalist. He celebrates the freedom of individuality in all aspects of life. He is a spokesperson for the Earth, giving voice to the natural environment he loves. The renowned wildlife artist, Sallie Middleton, told him on his thirtieth birthday, "You are the most interesting man I have ever met." Perhaps this is because Eustace has lived the life he has imagined...followed his dreams. Like Thoreau, Eustace has gone to the woods to live deliberately, fronting only the essential facts of life, to see if he could not learn what it had to teach, and not when he came to die discover that he had not lived. He has lived in the woods for over forty years. He learns by visiting extremes; once when Eustace severely cut his thumb, he sewed it back together with twelve stitches, and used plant medicine to heal it….and that is just one of many stories. His legacy is Turtle Island Preserve, which he carved out of the forest, literally with his own hands. It serves as an outdoor education center and profoundly affects all individuals who attend the events, workshops and classes offered there. His unique and adventurous life is featured in Elizabeth Gilberts book, “The Last American Man” as well as the History Channel’s hit TV series, Mountain Man. He will be available to sign Gilbert’s book during Meet & Greet at the concert, as well as speak during the evening.

Grammy Award winning artist Ralph Stanley II & The Clinch Mountain Boys are currently touring across the country and internationally. They have also been working hard in the studio, releasing a #1 hit, 'Back to Virginia' With seven #1 singles in his career, R2 is in heavy radio rotation across the country and on Bluegrass Junction, World Wide Bluegrass, iHeart Radio and Sirius XM.  The band includes Stanley Efaw on fiddle, mandolin, and vocals; Alex Leach on banjo and vocals; Randall Hibbitts on the upright bass and vocals; Caleb Shifflett on guitar and vocals; and Ralph Stanley II on the guitar and lead vocals. This band configuration brings a lot of talent, energy, and humor to the stage as they perform old-time favorites, bluegrass hits, and new original material. Ralph II has had two Grammy nominations on previous albums he recorded with Rebel Records.
