All Things Fire Class

April 20, June 1, September 21, October 5, 2024 - taught by various TI teachers

Our skilled instructors use the expansive and beautiful base camp at Turtle Island Preserve to lead a small group of adults in using friction to generate embers and other lesser known techniques for sustaining a variety of fire types. We will learn purpose-driven fire structures, no trace and low-trace methods, and build a kit to take home to help everyone master the art of fire.

At Turtle Island Preserve we heat our water, cook our food, and illuminate the darkness all with the assistance of fire. This class will be a one-day immersion into not only fire and its many uses, but revealing ways and lifestyles you may have never even considered. Lodging is not included, but please feel welcome to explore Eustace’s local airbnb options HERE.
