Elon University has spent over 8 years in the Turtle Island alternative breaks program. On Elon's most recent visit to the preserve, student Cole Vandermast made some insightful observations. We were so impressed, we thought we'd share it here:

How is it mid-October already?! The time just flies by. Though we haven’t been home much these past few busy weeks, It’s a gorgeous time to be at Turtle Island.

Summer is making its closing statements and a light north wind is whispering cool notions these days around Turtle Island. With recent rains, we've had plenty of time to reflect on our bountiful summer with many helping hands to lighten the load. There were countless souls who happened by this summer, some for a day, others for a week or more, but each of them made our days brighter. The abundant sharing and giving really helped us achieve a great amount of productivity both with the camps and the day-to-day farm life.
